The Computer Vision Group was formed in 1991 by Prof Mike Brooks and has since grown substantially.

The group has undertaken a number of projects on the analysis and understanding of images and video. We are currently focused on 2 major projects: 3D modelling from video, and automated video surveillance. More details are available here.

The group currently comprises 3 academic staff members, 4 full time research staff, and numerous PhD, Masters and Honours students. More info is available here.

The group frequently publishes research outcomes in journals and conference proceedings. Selected publications are available here.

We attract project funding from the ARC, CRC and commercial sources. If you are interested in working with us as a visitor or a PhD student please contact a member of the group.
