2. The 8th Working IEEE/IFIP Conference on Software Architecture (WICSA) and the 3rd European Conference on Software Architecture (ECSA) will merge in 2009, and will be held in Cambridge in September 2009.

Component-based and service-oriented architectures are key to the design, development and evolution of all software systems. The European Conference on Software Architecture is the premier European conference dedicated to the field of software architecture, covering all architectural aspects of software and service engineering. It is the follow-up of a successful series of European workshops on software architecture held in United Kingdom in 2004, Italy in 2005, and France in 2006.
