My PhD

Having completed my Masters  the only thing left for me to do was a PhD. My Masters supervisor Cheryl suggested I consider it. I did so and decided I want to do it.

Why? Simply because I REALLY enjoy the research aspect of education and I can't think of a better way of developming my mind then to partake in a PhD.

I have to wait for a number of reasons before I 'officially' start but I have been active in undertaking some preliminary readings and research. The main area is in network research with a focus on application level protocols such as multimedia/gaming protocols. The reason I chose this area is because there is an increasing focus/demand for better quality entertainment on The Internet. I hope to contribute to this through the development of some type of generic framework based on ipv6 which would leverage the QOS aspects of ipv6.
