The conference will be held at the University of Adelaide, the third oldest University in Australia and a member of the Group of Eight: Australia’s most prestigious research Universities.
PDCAT’07 is hosted at the main University campus, which is centrally located adjacent to the CBD, the Art Gallery of South Australia, and the SA Natural History Museum. Also nearby are the Botanic Gardens and Conservatory, the River Torrens, the Adelaide Zoo, and the Festival Theatre complex. Adelaide boasts more restaurants per head than any other Australian city and dining out is a most popular pastime. Ranging from casual cafes to sophisticated dining there’s cuisine from all corners of the globe.
South Australia is renowned world-wide for its quality wine and is responsible for 70% of Australia's wine output. Just 20 minutes from the city are the picturesque Adelaide Hills, home to market gardens, rolling vineyards and rural farmland. The Hills are also home to an array of native wildlife, best seen at one of the national parks or wildlife sanctuaries in the area.
