Students becoming researchers, researchers becoming renown John Willison and Li Jiang, Centre for Learning and Professional Development, and Computer Science Wed, 18 Nov, 2009, 10:10 Flentje Lecture Theatre, Plaza Building Abstract The Seminar focuses on the development and assessment of skills associated with research in the computer science context, and places both students and academics on the same continuum, encapsulated by the Researcher Skill Development (RSD7) framework. The seminar will address the questions above, and consider ways that enable the incremental and coherent development of research skills from the first year of university onwards. The seminar will be followed by a workshop - see the attached flyer.
