Multi-objective optimization using evolutionary algorithmsDr. Lam Thu BUI, Research Associate, University of Adelaide Wed, 9 Sep, 2009, 10:10 Lecture Room 2060, Computer Science, Plaza Building AbstractReal-life problems often have multiple conflicting objectives. For example, we would like to have a good quality car, but want to pay as little as possible for it. In this instance, we will probably have a number of options; and the issue will be about making a decision on these options.
In this talk, I will make an overview of multi-objective optimization and how evolutionary algorithms are used to solve such problems. I will give some examples of research that I have done recently in this area. My future research projects will also be discussed during the talk. |
