Yanbo Wu has been awarded an IBM Travel Award to attend the 6th International Conference on Service Oriented Computing (ICSOC08), December 1-5, 2008 in Sydney. He is also going to give a presentation at ICSOC PhD Symposium (21/11/2008).

Damith Ranasinghe visited GS1 Australia in Melbourne to present the PeerTrack project to senior advisors and managers at the global standards organization. The presentation outlined our research focus, avenues for industrial partnership and collaboration, and for the involvement of GS1 Australia in solving issues related to Traceability using RFID technology (21/10/2008).

We recently published two articles on prestigious IEEE Computer and IEEE Internet Computing respectively. The IEEE Computer paper appeared in September 2008 while the IEEE Internet Computing paper will appear in January/February 2009 (24/10/2008).

Dr Damith Ranasinghe took up the ARC Research Associate position. Dr Ranasinghe holds a PhD from The University of Adelaide and was previously at Auto-ID Lab, Cambridge University, UK (10/09/2008).
