Enrolment Information for 2009

Online Enrolment and Class Sizes

For Term 1 2009, Bachelor of Computer Science course enrolments will use the University's online enrolment system. Students will only be able to enrol in term 1 courses. If a course should reach its capacity of 35 enrolments, enrolments in that course will be disabled. Students should contact the program executive if they still wish to enrol in a course that appears to be full so that they can be placed on a wait-listing. As spaces become available the program executive will be able to arrange for enrolment of wait-listed students.

Pre-Enrolment System

From Term 2 2009, Bachelor of Computer Science course enrolments in NAAEC will use a pre-enrolment system to ensure that students enrol in the correct courses. With this system all course enrolments will be checked to ensure that students meet the requirements of their program. If too many students attempt to enrol in a course, the enrolments in excess of the class size will automatically join a wait listing queue. If a student attempts to enrol in a course when the result of a pre-requisite course is not yet available, the enrolment will be recorded as a provisional enrolment. When the pre-requisite course's results are known, the provisional enrolment will be rechecked and may be rejected.

With the pre-enrolment system, student enrolments do not appear in Access Adelaide until after the first teaching weekend of each course. Prior to that, student enrolments can be modified using the pre-enrolment system.

Over Enrolment

Checks will be made to ensure that students are not attempting to enrol in courses they cannot attend due to timetable clashes and that they are not enrolling in too many. If a student enrols in more than 2 courses in a term, or they enrol in courses with a timetable clash, one or more of their enrolments may be removed.

Fees Policy for 2009

Forfeiture of $380 of the course fee:

If you withdraw from a course after collecting your course materials and before the date of the first class, you will forfeit $380 of the course fee.

Forfeiture of full course fees:
