Welcome to the Intensive Java Bridging Course.

The Intensive Java Bridging Course is designed to provide links to online resources and training to assist students who are programming in Java for the first time. Many of the courses taught within the School assume that Java is known by students, and hence it is a requirement that all students develop strong skills in Java programming.

This course is designed primarily for postgraduate students who have previously programmed in a different programming language, such as C++, and need to transfer their skills to the Java language.

Assessing your skills

Before we can suggest a series of online tutorials and exercises to meet your needs, we need to assess your current level of skill. The following is a short online quiz that you should take to identify what your bridging needs are. When you have completed the quiz, you will be presented with your suggested programme of tutorials and exercises.
